About Me

Your Body Within

My name is Joseph Lau. During high school, I did not really love any one subject until I was in my junior year. I was in a two-year program called the Health Pathway.  In the first year, students studied how the body works and interacts with other parts of the body, which is where I first started to enjoy science and became interested with what is going on inside our body.

An opportunity came, where I  took a college course while I was still in high school, and I learned more about the certain parts of the body and how those systems work inside us. We learned about the cardiovascular, reproductive, and digestive system. Learning about the different types of systems and organs, opened my eyes to seeing how we can use organs and tissue to help heal, not only ourselves, but others, too.

There are many parts of our body that we can use to donate and help people who are very ill. Although there are certain organs and tissues we can't donate, we can use them to help ourselves.

I hope that, while you read about the different parts of the body, you will share with others and help spread this knowledge so we can help others be more informed.
